Sharon Pinto’s career in the lighting industry has evolved from Estimation to Sales Director. Sharon is an integral part of S O M A STUDIO, not only handling a number of key accounts, but also managing SoMA’s exclusive Partners including the High End Hardware Portfolio.
Sharon studied Engineering at Visvesvaraya University, then an MBA at University of Wollongong, Dubai. Her wealth of experience and passion to strive for customer satisfaction drives her to develop and preserve excellent relationships with clients.
Sharon is zealous and maintains excellence in her service.
Her favorite band is Queen.
Patti Nulty
OPERATIONS DIRECTOR
Patti Nulty’s career in business support has encompassed working for the Qatar Sovereign Wealth Development Fund and other high profile prime residential developers based in London, UK. Patti provides us with the key Operational support to allow the team to focus on what they do best. With a strong attention to detail, she ensures that everything we do at S O M A STUDIO adheres to her rigorous standards.Patti studied at the University of West of Scotland and graduated with BA Hons in International Marketing which over the past decade has proved to have been hugely beneficial in her international market and cultural business support roles.
Patti has a passion for her family, travelling and her 5-year-old beagle – Schnorbitz.
Her favourite band is Bastille.
Dipika Sadhvani
specification Manager
Dipika Sadhvani started her career in the lighting industry as an intern in design and estimation in 2018 and is now the Specification manager at S O M A STUDIO. Dipika is the support system at S O M A STUDIO and focuses on communication, technical documentation, and logistics. Dipika studied Engineering at Heriot Watt University in Dubai and has had a passion for lighting ever since. Her passion for the industry and dedication to her work brings a dynamic and reliable outlook to the team. She strives to support her team and deliver to all expectations.
Dipika is resourceful and commits to giving her best every day.
Her favourite band is Maroon 5.
Drew Thomson
Hardware
Department Head
Drew Thomson joins as Business Development Manager and Brand Ambassador for Buster and Punch. This will be Drew’s first step into the lighting industry and is excited to meet and work with S O M A STUDIO is growing client base. Drew comes from a background in Customer Success and Key Account Management in Glasgow, Scotland where he worked for the silicon chip giant, Arm.
He also brings wealth of knowledge from various different roles supporting customers and managing projects.
Drew has a passion for music, sports and travelling.
His favourite band is Interpol.
Cristine Pascual
Estimation Manager
Cristine embarked on her journey in the lighting industry back in 2012 when she started as a Lighting Estimator Coordinator. Over the course of three years, Cristine developed her skills and took on the additional responsibility of handling logistics. Having dedicated six years of her career for a Lighting Company, Cristine was presented with an exciting opportunity to expand her horizons within the same field as an Office Manager, Estimator, and Logistic Coordinator.
To complement her professional endeavors, she pursued a Bachelor of Commerce in Computer Science at Jose Rizal University in the Philippines.
Her favourite band is Maroon 5.
Tina Liong
Lighting Designer
Tina is a highly experienced lighting professional with over a decade of expertise in lighting design and operations. She is known for her ability to streamline processes and her meticulous attention to detail. Tina’s career highlights include pioneering and starting up the lighting design and projects divisions for a couple of lighting companies, including her hands-on involvement in projects from concept to completion. Tina is also a skilled leader, capable of training and managing teams and handling top-priority projects efficiently.
Tina’s passion for lighting design and her ability to transform spaces into immersive experiences through lighting is a testament to her innovative and artistic approach.
Her first love is art. And her taste in music is vast.
Lorie Valerio
Estimation Manager
In 2011, Lorie started her career in the Lighting Industry as an Estimator Coordinator. Her can-do attitude and strong performance led to her being entrusted with overseeing procurement and leading the Operation team.
These additional responsibilities allowed Lorie to develop the skills necessary for the new role as an Estimation Manager at S O M A STUDIO, where she is eager to make a meaningful impact.
Outside of work, she enjoys hitting the gym, participating in group classes, and taking part in outdoor activities such as hiking, camping, and running.
Lorie is also a big fan of alternative pop-rock music.
Sanjay Welkar
Lighting Designer
Sanjay brings over 12 years of extensive experience in lighting design, showcasing a deep understanding of all design concepts and exceptional technical proficiency.
With an unparalleled work ethic and a keen attention to detail, he is dedicated to crafting efficient and highly optimized lighting solutions tailored to meet S O M A STUDIO needs. His technical expertise consistently enhances our design team.
Sanjay has a Diploma in Electrical Engineering from EIILM University, Sikkim, India.
Outside of work, he enjoys indulging in hobbies such as listening to music, watching movies, dancing, and exercising.
